Kinship Earth Flow Fund Launch Gathering on Zoom
We invite you to join us for the official launch of Kinship Earth Flow Fund!
Flow Funding is an approach to philanthropy centered around streamlining the flow of resources to grassroots leaders - entrusting THEM to deploy funds for maximum positive impact in their communities.
This approach to giving lessens the barriers to receiving grants. It focuses on sharing the stories of transformation that resulted from receiving flow funds, vs. requiring recipients to provide extensive reports.
We’ll gather on Zoom to share the first iteration of our Flow Fund’s grant making processes - co-created by our Flow Fund Advisors, activists and grassroots leaders within our community.
We'll also invite you to share feedback on our grant-making processes, to tap into the collective intelligence, and to ensure this 1st iteration we've co-created is as inclusive, accessible, and equitable as possible.
Building Trust & Exploring Collaboration Opportunities With Nominees Around The Design of Kinship Earth Flow Fund’s Grant Making Processes
In the spirit of trust and relationship-building, foundational to Flow Funding, this online gathering will focus on our connecting, sharing, and building relationships with KEFF Ambassador & Advisor nominees.
In getting to know you, and your experience and engagement with environmental, economic, social justice, or other nature-centric humanitarian grassroots initiatives, we’ll be striving to identify individuals to invite to join our grant making design journey.
Our goal is to create grant-making processes that are accessible, inclusive, and supportive of the communities we’re aiming to resource, and those who offer guidance will be compensated.
Seeking Insight & Nominations As We Design Kinship Earth Flow Fund’s Grant Making Processes
Kinship Earth's newly adopted philanthropic model, Flow Funding, is all about sharing decision making power with the individuals and communities we aim to support, trusting in their wisdom and contextual understanding to deploy funds for maximum impact.
As we embrace this inclusive and participatory approach to philanthropy, Kinship Earth Flow Fund (KEFF) is kicking off a series of online gatherings, the 1st one being March 1st at 4 PM EST.
Facilitated by Syd Harvey Griffith, KEFF’s goal for this session is to identify prospective Ambassadors and Advisors, with diverse perspectives, who we'll invite to join us in shaping our grant making processes.
We hope you can join us to share referrals as well as ideas for how we can foster an inclusive, accessible, and equitable grant making process.
