KINSHIP EARTH IS THE NEXT EVOLUTION OF “KINS INNOVATION NETWORKS”
A BIT OF HISTORY
Susan Davis Moora, Founder of KINS Innovation Networks
Kinship Earth is inspired by the life work of Susan Davis Moora, affectionately known as the “Godmother of Social Investing,” whose KINS Method of networking with volunteer groups of heart-centered influencers has demonstrated more than 40 years of proven success achieving maximum impact with minimum expenditure to raise consciousness and to influence social justice and environmental sustainability.
For more than forty years, Susan Davis Moora convened and cultivated action-driven networks she called KINS Innovation Networks (see the history of KINS here).
Walter and Susan Davis Moora
In 2001, Susan married Walter Moora, a biodynamic farmer, and they have been weaving their work together ever since, hosting networks for social investors, philanthropists, and innovators to better steward the Earth.
After Susan retired, she and Walter moved to Vilcabamba, Ecuador in 2007, where they purchased a farm they named “Finca Sagrada,” which means Sacred Land Farm. They host consciousness-raising gatherings, ceremonies with Indigenous leaders, workshops for local villagers and foreign expats. They have a robust volunteer program for eco-travelers and aspiring organic farmers. Walter leads workshops on the importance of nutrition in the food we eat using biodynamics, and how to treat the Earth with respect and love.

Stephen Gomes, Ph.D., has been working with Susan since 1988 when they met at a social venture investment session in Boston. Susan’s work inspired Stephen to leave traditional corporate life behind and invest his energy and talents to serving the sustainability movement.
In 2018, with the help of Legacy International, a nonprofit located in Bedford, VA, Stephen co-founded the Global Transformation Corps (GTC) to develop training programs for young entrepreneurs focused on sustainable and regeneration economics. He also became the Strategic Alliance Architect for the HYPHA Decentralized Autonomous Organization (a DAO registered in Wyoming) and the delegate to the SEEDS Commons working out the challenging tokenomics, governance and logistics for a new regenerational cryptocurrency, called Seeds, designed to bring about global systems change to support the emergence of a new Earth-friendly and equitable human paradigm.

In early 2019 Stephen suggested to Susan and Walter that he would like to create a non-profit to globally deploy KINS training and networking principles with special emphasis on principle number one, “Our strategy is generosity.”
He suggested that together they form an Oregon non-profit to be called Kinship Earth. The idea was an immediate hit.

When the time came to implement Kinship Earth, Stephen introduced Lauren Archer to Susan and Walter to manage and guide the outreach program for sharing Susan’s lifelong dedication to KINS with the entire world.
While Susan and Walter are currently carrying out the work of Kinship Earth from their Finca Sagrada farm in Vilcabamba, Ecuador, Lauren is reconnecting with the members of Susan’s KINS alumni, activating KINS networks around the world, and training and empowering emerging young leaders to use Susan’s proven KINS Method for power networking and global systems change.
We are continuing to reconnect KINS network alumni and attract new kindred spirits for our ongoing work to cocreate a thriving planet.
