Building Planetary Resilience through Regenerating Living Soil

BUILDING PLANETARY RESILIENCE THROUGH REGENERATING LIVING SOIL

With Forrist Tanner Lytehaause, Marianne Wyne, Juan Whiting, and Dr. Melanie Carlone from Planetary CARE.

Planetary CARE is a member owned cooperative building a collaborative commons to accelerate the adoption of regenerative agriculture practices globally. It is led by Forrist Lytehaause and Marianne Wyne, bringing over fifty (50) years of combined senior-level experience in advancing innovation, human collaboration and rapid growth enterprises across multiple industries.

Planetary CARE’s methods create a strong, unified voice empowered by regenerative agriculture field scale demonstration farms in a wide range of geographies and climatic conditions. The Soil First Industry Association (SoFIA) network enables increased speed of adoption for proven human and digital technologies, predicted to result in thriving bioregional food economies as currently seen in isolated locations. Our commitment to food justice and increased participation by those in disadvantaged communities matches the goals of US Federal, State and regional efforts, and implemented using a Conscious Full Spectrum Response model.

Planetary CARE, in partnership with mission driven food sector enterprises, offers education, access to funding and evidence-based innovative solutions necessary to build global resilience through regenerative agriculture.

Our panel of four (described below) will describe the three portfolio areas we are launching:

  • First, with a pair of well-established association management companies, we are launching both our first bioregional SoFIA and SoFIA Global. Our revenues come from membership fees from SoFIA network members.

  • Second, we are expanding our Grant Agency. The amount of transition funding and regional food system funding has begun expanding and is predicted to grow substantially as all portions of the food supply chain recognize the urgency in changing from chemical agriculture to soil first practices. Our design, assessment and execution efforts allow a substantial number of producers and food supply chain members to obtain grants, guarantees, operating lines and equipment financing. We earn fees from our clients, foundations, and other sources.

  • Third, we are launching our Innovation Agency. Over the last four years, we have established strong relationships with companies offering breakthrough products. While these companies are rapidly growing with their own internal sales efforts, they recognize Planetary CARE as a unique organisation bringing their products, platforms and services to underserved markets. Our model of partnering with local and regional farming collaboratives and associations ensures success in market areas too small for their efforts. Revenues earned through sales commissions.
